Had the luxury of reviewing Nolan's science fiction film on the silver screen and - even more than the first time - left the room overwhelmed. Interstellar contains an intriguing story in which science and emotion constantly circle each other like two celestial bodies. Yet it is the breathtaking special effects and bombastic soundtrack that attract the viewer like a black hole. In short, a compelling masterpiece in which the almost three hours of viewing time is relative.

This movie is epic. I hesitated between 4.5 and 5 but I'm still reminiscing a bit, which I almost never have and which makes a 5 for me now. What a spectacle. The film shows that it wants to be great in everything and it is not shunned at times. I think this is appropriate for a film on this subject. For anyone concerned about whether this is realistic or not, I recommend Stephen Hawking's book Answers to the Big Questions. Contrary to what is sometimes claimed here, a little foreknowledge about the subject does this film more good than harm. I found the story very easy to follow, also when it comes to the quantum mechanical and cosmological topics.
A film that makes you think about the subject by giving a fairly realistic (this does not mean that the film is a prediction that will come true) image of a possible future and a colonization of another planet. Audiovisually, this film competes with the very greatest, what a soundtrack and what boldly portrayed and made. There are a lot of big names in it, all of them with great acting performances, McConaughey is in very good shape and the actors are well cast. Seen throughout the film, I found the intermezzo with the character of Damon the only part that is not top level, also the extreme end of the film is typically Hollywood, which can be disturbing if you watch it more often. All in all, one of the best movies I've seen lately.
Also great that they have their own R2D2.

Fantastic film, in my opinion the best ever made. The atmosphere in which the viewer is sucked in, the music and the mystery are of great class. There are very few films that stick with me, make me think, or make me look for backgrounds.
