Something for a Lonely Man plot
John Killibrew is a blacksmith who convinces a few people to travel with him to California. They settle in the town of Arkana, but when a railway is built nearby, their village is skipped. This leads to great dissatisfaction with Killibrew's fellow villagers, who consider him guilty for this. However, he sees an opportunity to improve his reputation when a locomotive derails.
