Reasonable horror film that one half of the two of us liked and as written in the beginning the other half liked it reasonably, hence our 3*. And striking was the clown in this story, a real HORROR!

First of all bought for the third segment, which went viral a few years ago as a short film (titled Terrifier). Even after reviewing this film remains impressive, both in terms of rhythm and editing as well as gore and tension. The other segments are less so. Especially the middle part is - let's be honest - substandard in terms of story and special FX. The first part was quite erratic and unbalanced, but definitely had a few scenes that a horror fan would enjoy. (No idea why I watch the segments backwards by the way.) The frame story is not bad in itself, although you get the impression that it is an excuse to bundle a few semi-professional projects of the director into a portfolio. I'm okay with it, because Maguire is a beautiful woman and because I really have a soft spot for that clown. Not suitable for people with coulrophobia .

When I saw the trailer, I wanted to see it right away. The trailer looked nice, but the movie was ultimately not worth watching. Okay, the movies were funny and I liked the clown, but it just didn't interest me. There is no story at all. It looked too cheap. This could have been worked out much better. And then that alien (?) in that 2nd movie was more laughable than scary. Too much cliché, which I normally don't mind, I could cry about this. 'Woman trips on stairs and cries (too long)'. Come on, if you are being followed and you know that he wants to do something to you, you want to get away as quickly as possible, even if you are in pain. And I can name a few more things like that. That little girl, watched the 1st movie, she had seen much scarier things on the internet, but is afraid of a door that moves. I don't know what the intention was. Definitely to make the clown walk less (to do his thing) at the end, well.. he can teleport (see 3rd movie). But also the babysitter who checks if there is someone in the closet, and how. 'Hello?' .. just watch, that takes less time than waiting for an 'answer', when you are standing in front of it anyway. But anyway, the movies were entertaining and is also the reason I finished watching the movie.

2*
