"Inspect the unexpected."
It's very quiet in Riverton, Inspector Gadget's town. As a result, Gadget arrests an old lady for reckless driving. This is not entirely without problems: his gadgets do not do what he wants them to do. As a result, Gadget has to go back to headquarters for a checkup. He gets new gadgets, but before they are explained to him, he gets a lot of kicks: the old woman turned out to be Quimby's grandmother, his chief officer. Shortly afterwards Talon breaks out of prison, Gadget's last chance to seize him.
