Jackass again.

Yet again a bit of proof why I like the stunts and jokes of the original Jackass much more than this. Don't get me wrong, there's some fun stuff in this, but in the end it's mostly Knoxville as Irving trying to hit on women.

The stunts are pretty much minimal, there aren't many. This film mainly consists of hidden camera jokes with a small road movie plot around it. Knoxville making a lot of sex jokes, and making a lot of rude and sexual remarks to women, that's more than half of them. Let that be exactly something I've never found very funny.

The really successful jokes are mostly the things that put the sex jokes aside for a while, such as making fun of people. I just really liked that. Although a lot of jokes miss the mark, some are quite a hit.

Saw the .5 version a few days ago, which was mainly a documentary. I often had to laugh about that when the jokes came on the screen. So I expected to have a real plot here, but unfortunately that didn't work out and I'm a bit disappointed in that.

Make-up is successful, quite successful in fact. Knoxville actually looks like an old man, and Nicoll actually stands there as a sidekick. But as a sweet boy he does his part convincingly, although he doesn't have to do too much except do a few dances and play a few small jokes.

In the end, not too bad, but had to laugh a few times. But I had hoped more for playing pranks like Irving and not making the sexual comments to women all the time, that ruined that a bit. But for the rest it was all entertaining with a nice Knoxville.

Was very happy that Jonze and Keener were left out of this for the most part. Those were annoying characters in the .5.

Poor movie with a few good jokes. Story-wise, there is little to experience. Jokes abound but most are not very successful. Fortunately, you have a few outliers that make up for a lot. I think the funniest thing is when they go wild about it and Knoxville do a great job a few times. I loved, among other things, his striptease with his extremely long ball sack and the shitting up against the wall in the restaurant. The scenes with the father were not interesting at all. For the rest it is nice that the audience knows nothing in advance, that makes it a bit more spontaneous and spontaneous humor remains the best. So in itself this should suit me, but if the film only has to live on the comedy that is too often substandard, it remains an average comedy as far as I am concerned.
