Silly stuff with a lot of jokes that just don't make sense every time. Ugly images, color grading by a drunk idiot, questionably played by basically the entire cast. Cheap looking effects with the boulders from the sky, the smoking crow. And yes, Anna Kendrick is wearing a nice dress, but she manages to make it look more pathetic than attractive.

Not at all.

Ugh.

Rapture Palooza has to be the most unfunny movie I've seen this year, maybe even ever. I haven't felt this uncomfortable watching an American comedy in a long time. The low average is well deserved, but there will always be an audience for it. Power to those people then..

The acting is still nice and the actors are definitely looking forward to it, the problem is that they are not funny. Director Middleditch just doesn't give them anything to be fun with. Robinson plays his worst comedy role ever here, Kendrick can also make little difference in this film. She tries her best, but it just doesn't work and that's all due to the script.

The film starts off nicely, but when the comedy starts to take over, things go completely wrong. The film opts for a type of comedy that I have never seen before. Normally I just can't laugh at a movie, but here I could almost cry at the way the jokes were made. Just downright uncomfortable, to the point that it really gets annoying.

Visually the film is also not strong. The effects are hideous and seem straight out of a YouTube video for kids. So not only has the comedy become lazy, but also the effects, so then you already have a double combo. The apocalyptic world is also ugly with a complete lack of color or flair. I don't think they really cared behind the scenes.

By far the worst American comedy I've seen this year and maybe even ever. Very uncomfortable and downright annoying film that never wants to be even a bit fun. The first 10 minutes are still doable, what comes after that is simply dramatic. Just awful, I wonder what else Middleditch is up to.

In the year that ended her (supporting) role as Jessica in the successful Twilight franchise and in which she broke through with Pitch Perfect (and her iconic version of 'When I'm Gone'), Anna Kendrick also starred in this black comedy that's bad enough to sabotage a movie career. Lindsey [Anna Kendrick] and her boyfriend Ben [John Francis Daley] are among the non-believers who remained on Earth after the title's Rapture. They risk falling prey to the lust for power of 'The Beast' [Craig Robinson]. Embarrassed-eyed Kendrick is the target of a never-ending stream of disgusting sexist comments in this tasteless, racist letdown. You shouldn't even want to sit through this one.
