Billy the Kid learns that someone in Red Rock is impersonating him and a warrant for his arrest has been issued. While on their way to Red Rock, Billy and his friend Fuzzy Jones both witness a robbery by a gang of outlaws led by Kate Shelly. Billy decides to join her gang to clear his name. Kate sends Billy to rob the stagecoach and then tips the sheriff so that Billy will be arrested.
