Thomas Graals Bästa Film plot

Lazy screenwriter Thomas Graal (Victor Sjöström) is more interested in flirting with his beautiful secretary Bessie Douglas (Karin Molander) than writing screenplays. But Bessie quits his job because Thomas unwittingly kisses her. To win her back, Thomas embarks on a scenario in which he mixes his relationship with Bessie with his own fantasy. When he is done with the manuscript, he tells his studio that he only wants to play the lead role if Bessie becomes his co-star.
