Sam Brassfield is a successful stock breeder in Wyoming. His trade is threatened by Clay Matthews, who wants to drive substandard cattle to Wyoming. Brassfield is of course against this and Matthews organizes a vigilante group that destroys the ranch of Brassfield's neighbors. The neighbor suspects Brassfield and wants to shoot him, but is injured himself. When it turns out that his lover has also been taken care of by the gang, Brassfield is determined to deal with Matthews and his men.
