The Butterfly Room plot
"Kids should never grow up"
Ann, a reclusive, elegant woman with an obsession with butterflies, befriends the beautiful Alice. Using her seductive innocence, Alice forms a disturbing mother-daughter relationship with Ann. Ann soon discovers that she is not the only woman who has been lured into her crazy world. When confronted with other friends of Alice, she discovers her dark past. She will have to endure a series of brutal and bizarre crimes to maintain her innocence and deceitful appearance. The only one who acknowledges that something disturbing is going on with Ann is 9-year-old Julie, her neighbor's daughter.
