Average Statham.

Although I was curious beforehand what Hackford and Statham would produce together. Unfortunately, it's not that much. However, it does start well. Not overly good, but there is quite a bit of momentum, Statham can be himself and the action is quite direct and convincing.

Like many people here, I thought the film kind of slumps when Lopez is introduced. Her character is nothing at all, especially not because Statham still has a woman somewhere to whom he remains faithful. They should have given them more screen time. But it is not so much Lopez herself who is bored, but especially the location switch that accompanies her introduction that sidetracks the film.

That Palm Springs isn't a very exciting place. The film tries to portray it as a stylish setting, but fails. A bit strange, because in itself the potential was there. Now it's way too chill and sunny for the type of movie this wants to be.

The second half is less so. Doesn't really help that 2 hours is just too long for a movie like this, at least 20 minutes could have been done. But it is not very annoying and Statham carries these videos with ease. But that's where it stops immediately.

2.5*

A whole team of people have (desperately) tried to get a second star in this clichéd and implausible lone-wolf action movie. It results in a ridiculous roll for Lopez. The terrible editing is the icing on the lukewarm turd that this film is. A well deserved 1 star. Still half an hour to go, looking forward to it!

After the Ohio State Fair robbery, hurling Parker [Jason Statham] is left for dead by Melander [Michael Chiklis] after an altercation over the next step. But Parker narrowly escapes death and seeks help from old hand Hurley [Nick Nolte] to initiate a revenge plan. Jennifer Lopez plays the hapless lady who inadvertently gets involved in this gory feud and does little more than play the helpless lady in need. And of course an excuse has been made to show her in her underwear. A number of beautiful fight scenes provide some compensation.
