If this is indeed the starting signal of a new trilogy, then I look forward to the next two parts with confidence. Andrews is clearly a gifted horror director, but also really alone in that area. The rest is pretty sloppy, but when it involves soggy, slimy filth, he knows what to do with it. A bit of a Gulager type in that respect. Furthermore, a repetition of the age-old script (bachelor party, deserted island...), but the effectiveness of this recognizable setting is often underestimated by viewers and embraced by filmmakers.

Worth the effort!

A film that starts off so badly can still take a nice turn, as it turns out. When I came across it I was very curious, because I thought the first two parts were quite enjoyable. And I was in the mood for a film like this again, it's been a while.

Unfortunately, I really hated the first half hour, it was almost impossible to get through. Luckily we kept watching, because it kept getting better. Surprised to see 'Samwise Gamgee' (Yes, I can't quite separate him from that role). Fortunately, the other characters also become less annoying. Jillian is a sight to behold, what a beautiful girl. I don't think the other men's acting is really great, but anyway, I could get over that.

There is quite a good build-up of tension and the gore is certainly fine. Nice and raunchy and at times hilarious. Fortunately, the atmosphere is getting better and better, as soon as they are on the island, things seem to be moving along. It has little to do with the 'Cabin Fever' films and can stand alone.

More fun than the second part, but I also found this part somewhat disappointing. I thought the setting was a plus, such a remote island often has a nice atmosphere as long as it is nice and dark every now and then. And the film succeeds in that. Besides the reasonable atmosphere, the film is also quite gory and bloody at times, but in terms of tension it was still quite disappointing. A film that could have become something, but unfortunately doesn't quite succeed.
