Christoffer Boe has lost nothing of the magic of Reconstruction. Exuberant and extravagant, but mostly boring and without the audiovisual flair that Boe showed in his previous films. What remains is basically a simple biopic. A film about two eccentric figures who manage to fascinate during the rise, but are no longer interesting towards the fall.

The conclusion is that Spies & Glistrup can best be captured in words such as solid and ordinary. As far as I'm concerned, a more painful conclusion cannot be imagined for Boe's new film.

Pretty tiring busy film that doesn't always take itself seriously. Or it must be that the duo Spies & Glistrup really were so eccentric. Opportunists first class and basically shameless white collar criminals with narcissistic traits. All very lighthearted and entertaining, but I didn't have a good feeling about it.

A twisted scene here and there. Take the scene with the gorilla or the scene where he does a literal meat judging with the press in the background and decides who will be his "girl of the month". And when in doubt, he spoke with deed. Well.

I expected a bit more from Christopher Boe, although it seems I don't rate his other films great either. Nicolas Bro, on the other hand, is higher anyway. That man has great movies
