Superman vs. The Elite plot
"World saved. Humanity lost."
Superman meets The Elite, a quartet of superheroes led by Manchester Black. After a successful first collaboration, they soon face each other. Unlike Superman, who has sworn not to kill humans, The Elite believe that their opponents must be destroyed, and openly admit it. To Superman's surprise, audiences love The Elite's way of working, and he begins to wonder if his vision of "Truth, Justice and the American Way" still fits in this hard, cynical time.
