Al Hayatt al Yawmiyah Fi Quariah Suriyah plot

In the early 1970s, documentary maker Omer Amiralay and playwright/essayist Saadallah Wannous are given permission to measure the consequences of the agricultural (building) reforms that the Syrian government has implemented in a Syrian village. Initially, the farmers are suspicious of these strangers with their cameras, but gradually they use the film as a way to express their anger and the friction between the official discourse and their everyday reality.
