The unstable nurse Sissi is part of the nursing team of a small psychiatric institution. By a very unfortunate coincidence she meets the fleeing Bodo who saves her life. After a period of rehabilitation, Sissi's world has changed. She believes that Bodo is responsible for that change and decides to visit him.

Offbeat and beautifully filmed love story with a mental institution, a bank robbery and a truck accident.

Very nice movie. Again Tykwer plays with coincidence, something that apparently fascinates him. This creates magically beautiful scenes, but also sometimes for some imbalance. Yet there are more strong scenes than weak and the film has quite a few nice ideas. Visually it is occasionally beautiful and overall just well cared for. The director now also makes sure to evoke some feeling, whereas in other films he seemed more interested in design.
It is well worth the small 4 stars. My appreciation for Tykwer (which I never had to) is beginning to take shape.

Excellent film about a nurse who is rescued in an accident by a fleeing bank robber. An original story in which the course is not easy to predict and with a beautiful ending. Nice camera work and the film has a pleasant, calm atmosphere (which is of course quite a contrast to Tom Tykwer's previous film, but you can see that they are both his films).
