Geheimnisse des Orients plot

Ali (Nicolas Koline) works as a shoemaker in Cairo. His wife is a real tyrant, so Ali dreams of fleeing his household. When one day he comes into possession of a magical flute, he makes his dream come true and flees. As a stowaway on a ship, he travels to the distant capital of the sultan (Dmitri Dimitriev).
