It doesn't get any further than a children's film. A big setback!

Certainly not for everyone, Sandler plays his role in a very forced way and at times gets to the point of irritating. Still, I didn't think the film itself was that bad, it turned out to be a very predictable but also entertaining whole.

Bridgette Wilson certainly helps with that.

Sandler you have to get used to, he won't have won an Oscar with this.

2.5*

Okay.

Funny yet lame film by Sandler that takes the concept of growing up to the extreme. In addition, this film again belongs to a kind in which Sandler plays a typical idiot. Then you have the roles where he is an idiot, and then you have the roles where he is Billy Madison. It's always hit and miss.

In the end I could still laugh about it. I often don't get on very well with comedies, but I caught myself regularly with a gray on my face. It is easy to say that the humor is questionable and childish. In addition, I also think that these kinds of films can never get through the mangle in these times, but hey, I can still do something with them in a good mood.

Not brilliant in terms of direction, but the sometimes almost comic book-like scenes still manage to be charming. It regularly takes the humor a bit far and goes on for too long, but if you can avoid those scenes a bit, you can expect a smooth and funny film. At least I wasn't bored for a moment, although I still prefer to see Sandler in serious roles.
