Small Apartments plot
Franklin Franklin plays alphorn and dreams of Switzerland. His foolish brother sends him clipped fingernails in the mail. One of his neighbors is a forgetful smoker and the other a gruff busybody. Across the street lives a mother with her 15-year-old daughter whom he likes to peek from his window. But these aren't Franklin's real problems. His real problem is that his landlord is dead, lying on the kitchen floor with him. Switzerland suddenly seems very far away.
