'Universal Soldier: Day Of Reckoning' follows survivor 'Unisols' Luc Deveraux and Andrew Scott, who must fight against anarchy and a new order ruled by Unisols without government oversight. They exterminate the weak and constantly test the strongest warriors in brutal battles to the death. Luc has worked his way up to lead the Unisol 'Church Of Eventualism', a self-help organization that offers help to wayward Unisols that the government has secretly deployed as 'sleeping' agents, who can be deployed at any time.

Successful action/thriller 
After watching it several times, the penny dropped for me.
The much hated strobe effect only lasts for 2 minutes, so it's not that bad.
What makes this film so good for me is the brutal brutal action, good acting, and great atmosphere.
The film can seem confusing when you watch it for the first time and that's a shame.
But like I said, I'm over the line for this fantastic movie.

I liked this one much better than Regeneration,
Lots of action and fight scenes with a lot of violence and blood from the beginning to the end. It was wonderful to see how things were cut into each other and how well portrayed. I did not fall asleep because of this, which was the case with Regeneration of which only the last half hour was good.
