Oops, an American speaking Dutch
The film itself wasn't bad, but it wasn't that special either. The film is easy to watch, but it won't really be a film that will stay with me for long.
The cast didn't do badly, but didn't really excel anywhere.
Well, it's fine to catch up on TV once in a while, but not much more.

Comedy that never really gets very funny, but is pleasant to watch because of Kristen Wiig's acting, the light-hearted story and the great soundtrack.

Screenwriter Imogene [Kristen Wiig] loses her job and her lover [Murray Bartlett] in a short period of time and decides to fake a suicide attempt. To her horror, she ends up under the guardianship of her eccentric mother [Annette Bening] and has to live with her eccentric brother [Christopher Fitzgerald], her potential stepfather George Bousche [Matt Dillon] and the young man [Darren Criss] who moves into her old bedroom for a fee. One-dimensional characters and forced humor abound in this waste of comedic talent.
