typical west vs muslim film, which is quite disappointing. the opening scene is interesting, but unfortunately will not get a sequel. especially in the beginning I missed the cohesion and it felt too much like separate fragments. the first flashback is just bad (showing how the muslim terrorist started his actions, which basically means he was jealous of his girlfriend. right.) and misses the mark. you don't really bond with any of the characters and therefore lacks the power to get carried away.
the set-up and idea are fine, as are the imaging and the acting. but the elaboration is simply not enough to put down a convincing thriller. Unfortunately.

Cleanskin stands out especially because it deepens the story of the villain and manages to clarify it, by showing a number of flashbacks of this person. This will give you a better impression of the mindset of such a person. That was good and quite exciting.

Unfortunately, the life of the other main character is a bit underexposed. Sean Bean does not do it bad, but does not know how to give his character the necessary swing. In addition, there is a far-fetched conspiracy story about the British secret service that is not completely watertight and which takes away quite a bit of the power of the villain's story.

Too bad, because there would certainly have been a lot more residents here.

Not particularly good, and not particularly bad. That pretty much typifies Cleanskin. It's actually thirteen out of a dozen. I hadn't heard of the movie before I happened to see it on Netflix. In the meantime, quite a few films have been made with terrorism as their subject. Cleanskin makes good use of a number of flashbacks and this way the viewer learns more about the antagonist, especially to find out motives.

It is a pity that the protagonist has little background information. it would have been smart to have both the antagonist and protagonist flashbacks. That way, this movie as a whole would have made more sense. Sean Bean is on the automatic tour and that's not really a bad thing. This means that there is nothing to report about Bean, in principle any actor could have taken over his role.

the script is a bit rushed in my opinion, they should have learned more from other movies with the same theme. It feels a bit sloppy: an important plot twist makes the film even worse, and that's a shame. Other than that, there's nothing startling to say. The film has a nice modern feel and flows well.
