The Barrens plot
"The terrifying legend of the Jersey Devil is alive."
Despite their reluctance, Richard Marlow takes his wife Cynthia, their young son Danny and teenage daughter Sadie to Pine Barrens for a weekend camping trip. When they arrive at Wharton State Forest, a badly injured deer suddenly rushes onto the road and nearly collides with his car. Later that night, another animal falls from a tree. Things get even weirder when one night a student, also camping in the woods, goes missing.
