"Revenge has its own set of rules."
After a grueling day at work, firefighter Jeremy Coleman (Josh Duhamel) and his colleagues think they can end the day with a drink. When Jeremy walks into a gas station, he inadvertently witnesses the brutal murder of the owner by Hagan, a white supremacist. After narrowly escaping, Detective Mike Cella (Bruce Willis) delves into Hagan's recent crimes. When Hagan is arrested and Jeremy has to identify him in a line-up, Hagan appears to know all too well that Jeremy is behind the mirror glass, as he lists his full name and address. Before the trial, Jeremy is forced to put his career aside when he is placed in a witness protection program. However, he finds solace in a budding romance with US Marshal Talia Durham (Rosario Dawson).

Both the posters and the trailers suggested the worst and maybe it's because of the low expectations that the film was still enjoyable. Willis does play on autopilot, but I am positively surprised that Dushamel can carry such a role. Dawson also only has a minor role and for many also a positive side note: 50 cents only show you 2 minutes. The film does indeed start quite strong but then sinks into the standard stuff of such films. the finale is quite laughable and maybe that's why it's still entertaining. All in all a stroke of luck if you start the film with very low expectations

Started without prior knowledge. Suddenly Bruce Willis pops up again. I immediately thought 'shit, here we go again', but it wasn't too bad this time, probably because his share was small. Overall, I thought it was a decent print, especially if you don't think about it too much. The rest of the cast was OK and if 50 cents for a dime is born then he has done well.
