A Fish Called Wanda plot
"A tale of murder, lust, greed, revenge, and seafood."
American diamond lover Wanda and her boyfriend Otto are in England to prepare a diamond heist with George and Ken. Wanting to keep the loot for themselves, Wanda and Otto inform the police about George. However, they do not know that he has already hidden the diamonds in a secret place. Wanda thinks the best way to find out the hiding place is to hook up with George's lawyer Archie Leach.

After a number of Pink Panther movies the best comedy ever. I couldn't help but laugh when I saw this movie. Cleese and Curtis are on a roll. Much funnier than the Monty Python movies. 5 stars

Decent movie. The story is fun with no one trusting each other in fact. British humor sometimes suits me, but I did laugh a few times. Comedies are often pretty bland, but the story here is sufficient and there are also enough "good" jokes in it. Cleese actually provides most of the humor. My parents have been saying for years that this is a rock-solid movie. If that's how they remember it, fine, but my impression is rather average. It certainly has its moments and some memorable scenes. Jamie Lee Curtis is playing some femme fatale or not? Nice to have seen once, but I don't see it more like a 7/10.

Every time this movie comes on TV, I make up my mind to watch it in its entirety, but so far I've never been able to. The humor is too old for that, the story too dull, and the actors too unattractive. But everyone is always very excited about this movie, so next time I will definitely give it another try to see it to the end.
