Los Sures plot
In the late 1970s and 1980s, Los Sures was one of the poorest neighborhoods in New York City. It was even named the worst ghetto in America. This documentary traces the challenges and difficulties of this neighborhood full of drugs, gang violence, crime, abandoned buildings, racial tensions and limited local amenities. At the same time, the documentary offers a look at the largely Puerto Rican and Dominican community who, with courage and creativity, are trying to cope with this hopeless situation.
