Il Marchese del Grillo plot
At the beginning of 1800, the libertine Marquis Onofrio Del Grillo in Rome fills his days with practical jokes, of which Pope Pius VII is the main target. Collaboration with the French occupiers offers him extra opportunities, but after Napoleon's departure, Pius strikes back and has the marquis replaced by a doppelganger.
