Procedure 769: The Witnesses to an Execution plot

Procedure 769 is the document that prescribes how a convicted person should be executed. For the first time in 25 years, the proceedings were reinstated in California. On April 21, 1992, just before six o'clock, Robert Alton Harris entered the green-lit gas chamber. Through the thick glass he could see his audience: a brother, some friends, the relatives of his victims. Everyone present looked at the same thing: a dying man.
