Old Shatterhand (Barker) and Winnetou (Brice) first meet while building a railroad. Angry, the Apaches embark on the warpath as their hunting grounds threaten to be encroached upon by the railroad. The villain behind it all is Santer (Adorf) who plays everyone off against each other.
