"One man's struggle to take it easy."
Ferris Bueller skips school for the ninth time in a row. This time he has to come up with a very clever excuse, while his sister does everything in his power to let him down. The rector is also sick of his truancy and wants to put an end to it personally. Together with a sick friend, his father's sports car and his girlfriend (whom he also picks up from school on an excuse) they make it a day to remember.

Nice movie, especially the Twist & Shout scene is hilarious. The film also strongly breathes the feeling of the 80s, for me this is very recognizable 
. After so many years it is noticeable that the film is very slow, but oh well, I am getting more and more

I used to think this was a fun movie, but it's so merciless now. What a lame collection of yet rather poorly and unimaginatively presented cliches. Maybe that came through uncritically thirty years ago because of the appearance of Mia Sara, I'm not so impressed with that anymore - what a dummy, yuck. The subplot with Jennifer Gray and Charlie Sheen is still a little bit fun, but too poorly developed and far too little.
No, bah. But quickly forgotten, and never revisited.

Agree, Ruck's character is the only one with some depth, but that scene is apt for the frustrations and anger of eighteen-year-olds. A kick (against the standards of society) is good but has consequences. Orange : The happy ending. Brilliant finale where Ferris tries to be the first to reach his house and his bed before his parents come home (that score with the slow motion on the trampoline - great moment). Yet Ferris has time to introduce himself to 2 girls sunbathing in the garden (laughing cramp, every time). FBDO gives courage, even if only for a moment. Then the reality check. Life moves fast.
