Predictable drama drama with some thriller elements. Tatum is a mediocre actor and again plays a boring role. What Pacino is doing here is a mystery to me and I think himself too.

The flashbacks completely take the tempo out of it and because of the uninteresting characters the course is not interesting at all.

there was more to get out of this cast, that's a fact. On the other hand, it is also the cast that keeps this film above water. Little can be said about the acting performances, it's just the story that contains too little, so that the film spends too long in no man's land and also the standard finale that should be the highlight does not make up for anything. I thought Tatum was really good and good to see him in such a role.

TSONO is a very mediocre drama that manages to hold its own by the cast in a long-winded, meaningless story.

'The Son of No One' unjustly doesn't seem like a police movie, thriller or action movie. Because actually this is a dark drama with some arthouse influences, or just a messy affair. After all, the scenes hang together in pieces, with the flashbacks being thrown in between with little subtlety. The only thing for which director Dito Montiel can be congratulated is bringing in a remarkable cast, because in addition to protagonist Channing Tatum (playing apathetic as always), he also brought in Al Pacino, Ray Liotta, Katie Holmes and Juliette Binoche. However, it all does little to help and in the end a superfluous apotheosis is thrown at it. A missed opportunity.

Yes it's a whole sit.

Sometimes inertia can increase the tension. this is not the case here.

The movie is predictable. That does not always lead to a lack of tension.

Unfortunately, that Son of no one is the case.

Pacino was briefly seen, probably participated to promote the film, his contribution was insignificant.

The check he got must have motivated him. 2.5 is the correct rating.

This is a bad movie. The permanently present sad cello music is irritating and distracting. The presence of Liotta, Pacino and Binoche helps the digestibility but the story at the end is very weird. A couple of bumblebees, who don't miss anyone and who everyone should be thankful for going to the eternal hunting grounds, ruin Police Officer White's childhood because he kills them purely in self-defense. Why Vicky then blames police officer Pacino for not calling witnesses or making arrests is completely incomprehensible, because she knows who the perpetrator is. Would she have wanted White(Tatum) arrested? Also the whole hassle with that collision and the phone calls after it are illogical. No, check it out for yourself and let me know if you agree

Good thing I didn't read the posts here before watching this movie, because there are going to be some spoilers. Personally, I find this a pretty depressing film because of the theme of how the past doesn't leave Milk alone, but also because of the miserable living conditions of Milk and Vinny. Many here complain about Tatum's bad acting, but I found him very convincing as a closed rookie whose problems and frustrations pile up without being able to express themselves. Ray Liotta never lived up to Goodfellas's promise and has always stuck with the crime movies, but he does play really strong here, and Pacino is reliable as ever, especially in his conversations with the young Milk. All in all I thought this was an interesting and exciting film, but the climax dissolves things a bit too easy, and the identity of the writer of the letters comes a bit out of the blue, which is detracts from the overall impact. Nevertheless, admiration for the atmospheric drawing.
