Deadfall plot
"You can't escape your past."
Addison (Eric Bana) and Liza (Olivia Wilde) are brother and sister. They are on the run after a botched casino robbery in which they killed a government agent. Meanwhile, former boxer Jay (Charlie Hunnam) is on his way to his parents, June and retired Sheriff Chet, to celebrate Thanksgiving Day. By a twist of fate, their paths will cross.

Tried this one at random and it wasn't wrong, but not wow either. Fortunately, the film does not last too long and the film still looks good and atmospheric. The story itself is not that special.

Average 'thriller' that once made more of an impression, nowadays mainly entertained, has a nice atmosphere but above all remains very plain.
At first a good picture of brother and sister who go over corpses after a job, then quickly continue separated, why exactly?, to meet again somewhere later. Jay, who is carrying quite a bit of luggage himself, in his backpack and pick-up, gets involved. Especially nice are the scenes around Addison cleaning up a pervert and later the chase with the police. The viewer has to guess a lot, actually regarding the background and possible depth of A and L. It seems that both are quite damaged by their youth / possibly even have a bit of a messed up relationship. However, this is never well substantiated. Just like the role of Teller who, apart from looking very difficult and walking wide, doesn't get any further than that.
Nevertheless, a nice atmosphere is created in beautiful landscapes and Mara is doing well as a small-sized agent who actually solves the case practically. Furthermore, the music can be called nice and Deadfall is a nice picture to watch once. Also, not a high flyer.
