My Beloved Country plot

Hartseer Land is the story of the white peasantry in South Africa who clings to the myth that God has chosen them as the 'super race' of Africa. Since the ANC was legalized, Nelson Mandela was released and President De Klerk announced that there will be no more separate white elections, these whites have come to realize that they are no longer 'boss of their own country'. Some of them are increasingly organizing themselves in paramilitary organizations such as the Afrikaner Weerstands movement (AWB) of Terre'Blanche. They claim to have supporters within the government apparatus, especially the military and police. These 'prisoners of the past' are preparing for a confrontation with the De Klerk government; they are willing to defend their God-given land with weapons. "Hartseer Land" portrays South Africa's far-right organizations from within with images of paramilitary exercise camps and shocking statements by their ideologues.
