De Eetclub plot
Karen and Michel (Bracha van Doesburgh and Mark van Eeuwen), in their early thirties, move with their daughter to an exclusive residential area. Karen soon finds a close circle of friends in the women of De Eetclub and their husbands. When the apparent suicide of one of them puts a strain on their mutual relationships, Karen finds out that everyone in De Eetclub has secrets from her and from each other. Karen discovers that especially Simon, the natural leader of the group of friends, with whom she now has a passionate affair, knows more than he reveals. Even the police investigation threatens to fail because of the closedness of De Eetclub. Then Karen decides to uncover the truth herself…

It's a mystery to me how as a filmmaker/director you can come up with such a bad film. Messy/messy told, characters not well introduced and the acting -especially of that 'policewoman' is laughable. Do yourself a favor and leave it in the budget bin.

Star cast of the Netherlands, but the acting in this film is to cry.
