Paul Mangis is a contemporary British artist who tends to live in the past. He has surrounded himself with works of art from the Renaissance. Paul is obsessed with the idea that he and his girlfriend Mifanwy Conway are reincarnations of two lovers in an ancient painting. Paul's delusions eventually lead to murder.
