"They Played for High Stakes in Alaska!"
Sadie owns a riverboat, which is mainly used by prospectors to make their way to their claim. Along the way, the men pass their time drinking and gambling. The Yukon Mining Company sends John Thorne to chase Sadie from her boat, and afterwards the company can try to rob the prospectors of their claim. Sadie has hidden her way of life from her daughter Helen, whom she has sent to school to live a more sophisticated life in the future. But one day Helen unexpectedly appears on the scene. Her boyfriend Bob decides to work for John Thorne, while Helen has the time of her life on the wild Yukon River. This is to the dismay of Sadie, who confides in her friend Ace and asks him to map out and solve all problems.
