"...and a ticket to romance"

After defending his doctorate, the romantic idiot Rasmus realizes that his situation is nothing to be proud of. He doesn't have a job, but he does have a large student loan to pay off. With no other choice, he accepts the offer to work as a Danish language teacher in a small provincial town. Here he meets a colorful community and soon dreams of a life together with the locals. Rasmus also falls in love with Signe, one of his students. And he has no right to do that, also because Signe has another love, namely Camilla, with whom she would like to have a child.
