I'm the kind of person who doesn't get a feeling of great involvement with such close-to-the-skin scenes (in the car, or with the wandering Krister), but who starts to think: Boy, is the director manipulating me again to create a elicit a feeling of great involvement. In short, I'm in favor of a cameraman, like a referee, remaining somewhat invisible, just like an editor for that matter, because every style element that draws attention to itself takes me personally out of the film, and I doubt that is the intention. So the film certainly didn't crush me; the central theme is extremely dramatic and extremely powerful, and Olle Sarri knows how to give shape to the suggestion of disaster, but the minimalist design stands in the way of a high appreciation for me.

Incidentally, the Filmfreak DVD also contains a short "teaser" in which Krister's family has beautiful individual and family portraits made by a photographer. That fragment is not subtitled, but when you watch it after the film itself it seems to speak volumes – especially in Krister's last long-held gaze, I read more than may have been put into it.

You've got to love it. So not me. I don't even care what the story behind this is. I watched this one with difficulty. 81 minutes was far too long in that regard. Of all the Swedish thrillers I've seen, this was the absolute low. Maybe they should have called this a psychological drama, then maybe I would have looked at it differently. One thing is for sure, the next Swedish thriller I'm about to see is always better than this one.

A man wakes up covered in blood in the bathroom. He washes himself quickly and then goes to work. It's clear he's a bit confused and something is up, but otherwise it's very slow to figure out what's up.

The film builds up very mysteriously and the way of filming reminds me strongly of the beginning of the film Le Fils (2002) .

Also in terms of camera work with a handheld camera that constantly looks over his shoulder. It is a very minimalistic film in which very little seems to happen. Yet he continues to fascinate because you are constantly kept curious with the question, what is going on with this man. And that is definitely a very strong point of this film, which, if viewed properly, is ultimately hardly worth anything. Also not in terms of story unlike Le Fils.

Reading the reviews here it is also clear that this is a typical all or nothing movie. Either you like it or you don't like it at all. And that has everything to do with the way of filming and the slow build-up, which is not for everyone.
