Jimmy 'The Saint' Tosnia is a former criminal on the straight and narrow. Since then, he has been running a Denver company that videotapes the comforting last words of dying people for their families. One day - just after meeting the enchantingly beautiful Dagney - two wardrobes suddenly appear in front of him, taking him to 'The Man with Plan', Jimmy's former boss. He wants Jimmy to scare the ex of his son and her new love, so that she will return to the son. At least that's the plan, but Jimmy doesn't like this at all.

Just cranking up a movie on Netflix, I was under the delusion that this was a standard and solid 90s thriller. However, it turned out to be a neo-noir like movie that gave you different feelings throughout the movie. For example, on the one hand, the start of missing the job was a standard and predictable scenario, on the other hand, the conversations between Walken and Garcia in the house of The Man with a plan gave a wonderfully grim atmosphere. And so the film burst with quirks, weird plot twists and the like.
Garcia in a role he was made for, Walken in a good job and of course that terrifying Buscemi. The other characters of Garcia's group of 5 were unfortunately a bit bland. The fact that the film actually had a stunning girl for the love story is of course also a plus.

Good film about a couple of ex-criminals who take on a one-time job that doesn't go as it should. A nice story, with mostly entertaining characters (nicely a little over the top). Other than that, it's just a very entertaining crime story. Partly due to the cast with quite a few well-known names who also do not disappoint, 3.5 stars.

Super cast, 1 of my favorite Andy Garcia movies, also I'm a big fan of William Forsythe. Everyone here acts very well. Hopefully the crew enjoys the boat drinks.
And I also had to google the real meaning of "buckwheats".
Shows even more that Andy Garcia has a lot of style in a tailored suit.
But: "you got to have the build for it"
