"Imagine your life. Now go live it."
In this Italian comedy, Rosalie discovers that life is more than just your family. During a bus holiday in her own country, her husband and two sons do not even notice that she has stayed behind at a roadhouse. Instead of being picked up again, she hitchhikes home: mmm, a week at home alone! But when a motorist she's traveling with turns out to be heading for Venice, she responds to an impulse to treat herself to a holiday in this fairytale city. She soon manages to make friends... and find work. Why would she go back?

Wonderful movie. One of the best comedies I've seen in years.
The beautiful Licia Maglietta is amazing in the lead role and Bruno Ganz shows again how versatile he is. In addition, Giuseppe Battiston as the plumber cum detective and Felice Andreasi as the florist are hilarious from time to time.
That also applies to the astute dialogues, by the way.
Truly a gem. A film to laugh about and watch again.

And if you're in bed with the flu, you feel really sick, it takes a lot to get you up and running again and with this film you actually succeed.
Always snows a bit under Amelie, but actually this comparable film is even more beautiful.
Feel-good, but with a good dose of melancholy, brilliantly acted, beautifully filmed and wonderfully romantic, funny and loving...and this time it's something completely different than lightweight.
Masterpiece!
