Little Wenzhou plot

Like many others from her country, Xiu Yan left for France from her native China in hopes of finding work and building a better life. She arrives in Little Wenzhou, a Chinese neighborhood in the city of Lille. She finds work in a nail salon run by the tyrannical Mrs. Deng. While Xiu Yan works hard to recoup her fare, she soon notices that the Chinese around her struggle with respect for ancient Chinese customs on the one hand and embracing Western Culture on the other...
