"Their Merriest Hit! Mr. and Mrs. Thin Man Have a B-A-B-Y!"
Nick Charles and his wife Nora have had a baby. Just before Nicky's first birthday, they get a call from Long Island from Nora's uncle, Colonel MacFay. A former employee of the uncle seems to want revenge on him. The man even threatens murder. Shortly after Nora and Nick arrive at MacFay's, the old gentleman is murdered in his bedroom at night. It's up to Nick to solve the case as an amateur detective.
