Meh.
Like just about any horror with ghosts, this prequel didn't appeal to me either. Again, few surprises here, but a waterfall of clichés à la creaking doors and light that goes on and off at will. Only the doll that moves her head during the credits I didn't see coming, I thought she was going to wink.
Other than that, not too much to see. Visually, there is nothing new under the sun and in terms of location and setting: yes, a large, creaky house and a well somewhere in the garden. The child actors are certainly doing okay, I have to add that.

Lucky I saw this film at home, otherwise I would have scared the whole cinema with my yelling. Great movie with a lot of scary moments. The 1st movie was already very good, but this one is a hit! Recommended!!!!!!!

This prequel to the prequel to The Conjuring (are you still following?) is very creditable and actually a lot better than the first Annabelle. Well made and well played, with a lot of creepy moments and effective scare effects. Nice plot too and the mainly young cast does a great job. Producer James Wan continues to deliver quality horror works.
