The Goodbye Girl plot

"Thank you Neil Simon for making us laugh at falling in love... again."

A divorced woman discovers that her boyfriend, an actor, has left her and her daughter. Then another actor claims to have rented the apartment where they live from her ex-boyfriend. After the necessary discussions, they decide to move into the apartment together. This brings with it a lot of problems, especially since the woman has developed an aversion to actors.

It's a typical Neil Simon movie. A bit stagey with a lot of comic dialogue.

I found it very entertaining, especially because of Dreyfuss.

Excellent film in which a woman and her daughter are forced to live with a man in their apartment. The man and woman can't stand each other at first, but they fall in love anyway. Not very original, but believable and entertaining. Not least because of the wonderful performance of Richard Dreyfuss in an Oscar-winning role. Easily 3.5 stars.
