Educating Rita plot
"Sometimes students end up being the best teachers."
Susan, a hairdresser, is named Rita after the author of her favorite sensational novel. She decides, against the wishes of her husband Denny, to take a literature course. Her teacher is Frank Bryant, a middle-aged man who lives with fellow teacher Julia. When Rita's husband, eager to start a family, discovers that she has been secretly taking the Pill for quite some time, he furiously burns all her books and her notes. Nevertheless, Rita enrolls in a summer school at the university and decides to change her image completely.
