Maisie plot
"Maisie is the surprise picture of the season!"
Arriving penniless in a small Wyoming town, Maisie Ravier flirts with Slim, the manager of Clifford Ames' farm. Disgusted by Maisie's flirtation, Slim orders her to leave town. Maisie is soon introduced to Ames and his adulterous wife Sybil and is hired as a housewife. Then something blossoms between Slim and Maisie and later they even fall in love. When Ames is involved in a car accident, Maisie finds Sybil with her lover Richard. Ames discovers Sybil's infidelity and kills herself. Sybil suspects Maisie of the telling, and so takes revenge on her by telling Slim that Ames and Maisie were each other's lovers. An argument erupts between Slim and Maisie that causes her to leave town. Maisie soon learns that Slim is on trial for the murder of Ames. She has to do something to prove his innocence.
