Karla Dyson is a waitress involved in a custody battle with her ex. She goes with her son Frankie to an amusement park. Then when Frankie is kidnapped, Karla has to look for him. What follows is a wild chase where Karla stops at nothing to get her son home safely.

Mediocre. Halle Berry screams throughout the film, and Kidnap hangs together from the illogical plot developments. The bad guys are doing the silliest things again, and you wonder how they stayed under the radar of the authorities for so long. In people/child smuggling things are a bit harder and more grim than it is here. So many ridiculous things happen that at one point I thought I was watching a comedy. Unfortunately, everything is taken very seriously, and Berry completely misses the mark several times.
