Ty Hacket (Columbus Short) has just lost his parents, lives with his little brother and can hardly make ends meet. Ty has just started working for a cash transport company and is good friends with Mike Cochrone (Matt Dillon). When Mike and a number of colleagues want to make their move by robbing his own armored transporter, they have to convince Ty to join in to make their plan work. Ty doesn't want to know about it at first, but his situation leaves him no choice. He has no money and the 42 million they plan to steal will ensure a better future. He is convinced and joins in, were it not for the fact that their entire ''waterproof'' plan goes horribly wrong...

Friendly.
Antal has been out of the limelight for a bit. There seemed to be a nice future for him, but not heard much about it in recent years. Now his Predators film adaptation was not too good either, but the man has enough talent to give him a few more chances.
This movie is pretty fun, especially the beginning. The setup, the dingy style, the rough characters. Even Fishburne can be praised, a rarity after all. It only goes wrong when the film (deliberately) starts to derail halfway through.
The speed disappears from the film and not much takes its place. It doesn't want to be really exciting or stuffy, with which it all slowly comes to a slow end. A little nonsense is allowed in these kinds of films, but towards the end a little too much goodwill is required of the viewer.
Too bad, because there was enough fun in it. Have a look at Antal's latest.

Predictable. In the beginning a lot of almost profound chatter with many open doors. It doesn't want to be really exciting, even though they are good actors. Illogical steps with a bum, who is shot dead. Sequel doesn't make sense either. I looked out for him to know the outcome, but actually knew well before the end that it would be nothing.

Nice.
A little sour scores here as this movie is just pretty basic but effective in its genre. It just contains everything for a great thriller with some action and crime elements here and there. The short playing time has never bored me.
It's nice to have a great cast as well. Reno was fun, Fishburne was fun and Dillon was great fun. Short is also good. For the rest, not too special. The film has a reasonable pace, takes a little too long for the already quite short running time, but nowhere is it really boring.
Once we're halfway there, the movie is really fun. I see some reviews that it wasn't exciting, and I kind of agree with that. Antal could have made it all a bit more intense and oppressive, although I thought it still had a bit of tension.
Perhaps a bit too chaotic camera use behind the steering wheel of the trucks, but everything else is well captured. Some surprisingly good moves with the camera, with turns here and short tracking shots there. That's how it should be in a movie like this.
People who go purely for the "kick" will not enjoy this too much, but I had a great time. Maybe a bit predictable here and there, but delivered with enough pace and entertainment that you can still enjoy it.
I had expected more of a chase movie of sorts, but I actually like this a bit more. Nice action, enough thriller to keep it all entertaining. Visually also very reasonable. Nice for an evening lounging on the couch.
