Nice action movie.

From the director of La Boîte Noire, a cool mysterious thriller. This film takes a different tack, rather a straight-forward revenge film, with the ever-fun Jean Reno. A somewhat smoother Léon, but without the drama and without the flair of Besson.

But Berry makes a nice movie out of it. Very attractively portrayed, visually neat and in terms of action also quite hard. I didn't expect right away. The plot is fairly simple, although there are a lot of characters passing by. Most are fairly short, though, as Reno is another indestructible force that doesn't delay its revenge for too long.

A bit long for a film like this perhaps, it could have been done a bit here and there for a smoother film, but it doesn't really drag anymore. Nicely entertained, certainly above average for its genre, but it lacks that really impressive for an even higher score.

Nice video. While the story is nothing more than a simple showdown between two rival gangs as we've seen it before, everything still looks pretty chic. Strong atmosphere that leans towards the depressive and smooth action scenes.

Strong role by Jean Reno as an ice-cold killer. Brutal violence is certainly not shunned. You will not come across fake shooting scenes from a Van Damme or Seagal here. The violence is nicely raw, with the necessary gore running through your image.

The film could have been a little shorter, but it's entertaining enough. Above average crime film.

The story isn't too original, but it's entertaining. It all looks very nice, well directed and the music was okay too. In addition, it is also well acted. The movie itself wasn't that exciting, but the action was decent. Also some nice scenes like the fight with the barbed wire, the kettle scene and the monologue against the cat. The film had a bit of drama here and there, but it was nice to see that Charly, despite shooting everyone cold-blooded, still does everything he can to protect his family.
Not a great movie, but one of the better action movies.
