Despite a strong Jackson, quite a disappointment of a film. Theme is quite fascinating, the effect as subtle as an elephant in a china shop. Also terribly predictable: after the umpteenth 'oh, he had planned this all that way', I started rolling my eyes tiredly. The suicide scene was the absolute low point.

Another sore point is Moss' role as the group's conscience. Felt kinda obligatory and cliché, especially the way she and Jackson conflict. But oh well, the film looked away quickly and Jackson plays an amusing role. 2* for that, for the rest mainly ludicrous in terms of content. Could have been more into a topic like this.

Great film that not only puts the viewer to the test in terms of morality, but also the players. Morality, dilemma, decency, who is more devoted, it all comes to pass, but morality knights suddenly also switch, making that situation in terms of seriousness and the question 'what would you do?' tested even more. In that sense, the film exposes a very interesting topic, namely how far do you want to go? How far can you go? What is allowed? And then the average housewife turns out to turn into an outright 'banshee' when it comes to the safety of her own children, just like modern-day-life.

Great psychological thriller, great roles by both Jackson and Sheen. Nice video that can be discussed again after that time.

Very strong film with an interesting and gruesome theme. Cast is good, with a wonderful Samuel L. Jackson, but also a very creditable Michael Sheen.

Every now and then it is nail-bitingly exciting. Especially when it is decided to involve Yusuf's children. Also as a viewer you experience the 2 battle that takes place in the torture chamber; do you draw a lower bound in terms of principles and morals, or do you agree that 'the unthinkable' must be done to save millions of lives?

As far as I'm concerned, the film could have been a bit longer, because the ending is somewhat unsatisfactory in terms of how fast everything suddenly goes. But overall, Unthinkable is a very strong movie with a fantastic Sam Jackson.
